Avoid doing what you want to do.

There is a big difference between doing what you want to do and doing what you should do. Lots of times we have a tendency to mix the two up. What you want to do is just show up unannounced and profess your love thinking this will bring back your love. What really happens is they get annoyed at you even more and ask you to leave, ultimately making you feel worse. What you want to do is call, send text messages and emails saying you are sorry and you have changed. The reality is it becomes a nuisance to your ex and leaves them wanting to be as far away from you as possible. Just do what you know is the right thing to do and things will get better.

Move on with your life.

This is the one thing that often gets neglected by people. They sit around and sulk and mope and lose track of the rest of their life. I have seen many men go with out shaving or showering for days and women wear the same sweats for weeks because of a bad break up. Would you want to get back with someone that had not showered or changed for days? Move on, keep up with your hygiene and keep up with your social life. It is easier for an ex to see us depressed than it is for them to see us moving on. Once they see this happening, they begin to see what they are missing.

Following these three tips will make it easier to get back with your ex. Doing the exact opposite could have detrimental effects.
